Summertime with our little girl

We've still managed to have some mini getaways despite the pandemic this summer. We took Wren to Ruidoso in July and joined some friends at Cedar Creek Lake in August. Cameron was in Alaska for a week in August, so both grandmothers alternated staying with me in Dallas and helping take care of Wren. Wren visited the Dallas Zoo for the first time while Babcia was here! Here are some fun moments from the past several weeks.

4 month photo dump

I have neglected updating Wren’s blog for several moths, so here is a huge photo dump featuring Christmas, her 3rd birthday, and first time skiing in Crested Butte. Our little one has such a funny little personality. Right now she’s really into cooking and food toys, and she’s turning out to be kind of a girly girl. She insists that everything is “pink”, and the books she picks at bedtimes are typically princess books and fairy tales. She continues to be obsessed with the big bad wolf and witches. Her favorite food is French fries, but she fortunately does a good job cleaning up her fruits and veggies too. When she turned 3, she told us she would now like to have coffee, beer and wine. 😂 She skied for the first time in Crested Butte in February with Cam’s family and loved it. 2-year-old Summer

We have had an eventful summer with our silly, spirited 2-year-old. Wren's transition to her new daycare went very smoothly. She loves her new school, friends and teachers, and didn't go through a rough time switching schools as we had anticipated. The new center is closer to our home and less expensive, so all-around it was a positive change for all of us. Last day at Medical City First week at Dealey with a new friend Wren has experienced lots of fun new places this summer. We've been to the Dallas Aquarium, Six Flags, the Fort Worth Zoo again, a Rangers game, and Wren's first pool party. Wren discovered hot dogs at the Rangers game and they might be her new favorite food. She loved cheering with the crowd for the Rangers!
