Happy Baby

Wren has brought so much joy the past couple of weeks. At almost six months old, she's starting to show us her personality. She is happy most of the time and gives us the sweetest smiles and giggles. She has started taking an interest in Oscar, and will extend her hand to pet him and giggle when she sees him now. It melts my heart! We've started feeding her rice cereal in the morning and she's tolerating it well. This week we're going to increase the rice cereal to twice a day, and we'll start experimenting with solid food next week. We left her with my parents last weekend while we went to Austin for a wedding. We enjoyed being baby-free and sleeping in for two days, but I was anxious to see her by Sunday afternoon. We're so lucky to have two sets of grandparents who will gladly take care of our little birdie for us. I can't imagine doing this all by ourselves. Five months

Wren turned five months on Monday! We've had a busy couple of weeks. Wren took two road trips to San Antonio within one week -one for Chris and Ashli's wedding, and another to stay with Zsa Zsa and Papa while Cam and I visited our friends in Colorado. She handled it well for the most part, but I think she's had enough of her carseat for a while. Wren has started reaching for our faces and identifying objects more clearly. She now shows an interest in Oscar and will reach out to pet him. I imagine he'll start showing more interest in her this month when we start introducing her to table food! Cam and I really love Wren's new daycare. They have put her on a schedule of eating, playing, then sleeping (long naps - the kind we couldn't get her to do at home by ourselves!). Each  morning when I drop her off she is delighted to see her teachers' faces, and she is usually still smiling when I pick her up in the afternoon. Her teacher
