Summer into Fall

We've had some pretty big developments since my last update. A few days after my last post, Wren began crawling out of her crib and transitioned into a big girl bed! It's been an exhausting 2 1/2 months. She fights like crazy at night to get into bed, and for several weeks she was waking up in the middle of the night and running into our room. Things have improved, but she's still adjusting!

We went to Miami with Baba and Yaya in July. They were such great help with Wren, so Cam and I had a little time to relax. Wren loved staying in her "house" with Baba and Yaya and swimming in the hotel pool. She's still not a huge fan of the beach!










Wren has been doing great with her potty training! She only wears Pull-Ups at night and has few accidents these days. I was bribing her with toys every time she peed or pooped in the potty, but lately I've had to up it to chocolate or cookies. She's developing a sweet tooth like her mama after all. ;)

Wren spent a lot of time with her grandparents the past couple of months since Cam and I traveled a lot. We took trips to Colorado to visit our friends, Idaho to get away for a few days, and I went to Savannah, GA for work. Wren has enjoyed splashing around in her pool (always naked!), going to Six Flags and the Lakewood Elementary Park. There's never a dull moment with this delightful little kid.

4 month photo dump

I have neglected updating Wren’s blog for several moths, so here is a huge photo dump featuring Christmas, her 3rd birthday, and first time skiing in Crested Butte. Our little one has such a funny little personality. Right now she’s really into cooking and food toys, and she’s turning out to be kind of a girly girl. She insists that everything is “pink”, and the books she picks at bedtimes are typically princess books and fairy tales. She continues to be obsessed with the big bad wolf and witches. 2-year-old Summer

We have had an eventful summer with our silly, spirited 2-year-old. Wren's transition to her new daycare went very smoothly. She loves her new school, friends and teachers, and didn't go through a rough time switching schools as we had anticipated. The new center is closer to our home and less expensive, so all-around it was a positive change for all of us. Last day at Medical City First week at Dealey with a new friend Wren has experienced lots of fun new places this summer. We've been to the Dallas Aquarium, Six Flags, the Fort Worth Zoo again, a Rangers game, and Wren's first pool party. Wren discovered hot dogs at the Rangers game and they might be her new favorite food. She loved cheering with the crowd for the Rangers!
