Beginnng of 2021 and Wren's 2nd Birthday

I'm a little late updating, and I missed Wren's 2nd birthday and the week-long Snowpocalypse in Dallas. The year started off pretty tame - we are still sheltering in place for the most part due to the pandemic. We started the year at Fossil Rim, where Wren got to drive through the nature preserve and throw food at the animals. She LOVED it- especially the ostrich! Wren moved up from the Toddler room at daycare to the Twos room, which took her a couple of weeks to adjust to. She didn't take it well at first because she missed her friends and teachers. She has since warmed up to the new enviroronment and has stopped crying when we drop her off.  First snow in Dallas back in January at Baba and Dziadziu's house Wren turned TWO on February 8! I got professional "Heirloom Photos" taken to mark the milestone. We celebrated with both sets of grandparents in Ruidoso. Wren loved "driving" Yaya's Jeep, going to the park and opening all of her presents. We ...

Thanksgiving and Christmas 2020

Our family was amongst the lucky ones in 2020. Despite the challenges the year brought, the three of us are healthy, Cam and I are both employed, and we had the love and support of both of our families to get us through the year. Wren fortunately won't remember 2020, but I will remember it as a year where I challenged myself daily to keep perspective . Throughout the toddler meltdowns (because there were a lot!), it was easy for me to lose my cool. Several familes across the world suffered real loss this year. They lost their jobs, their businesses, their family members from COVID - and we were lucky enough not to have to suffer through any of that. My hearts are with those who are still suffering from the challenges 2020 brought. I am so, so grateful for our healthy, happy little birdie. May 2021 bring her and all of our loved ones peace and love.  Thanksgiving in Ruidoso Jeep! At the Dallas Arboretum Santa's Village Ranch Christmas Throwing rocks into the tank - Wren's fa...

Fall Festivities

The pandemic is still raging in North Texas, so we've spent most of our social time outdoors the past couple of months. We've spent a lot of time with family. Babcia bought wren a Jeep, and loves to cruise the streets to show off her new ride. Yaya and Papa come to visit about once a month. We've had friends over to watch Texas football games on our deck, and have visited friends in their backyards.  Our neighbors threw a fun pumpkin carving party for the little ones in their front yard the week before Halloween, and Wren dressed up as a Goldendoodle. Halloween was really fun this year! All four grandparents came over, and we set up chairs in the front yard to watch the trick-or-treaters. I set up individual baggies of candy for the kids to take for social distancing. Wren was a hot dog, and Cameron and I were mustard and ketchup. ;) We've visited the Dallas Arboretum a couple times already with Wren and recently discovered the Children's Garden. Wren loved playing ...
