Seven months

Our little bird turned 7 months over the weekend! She's had an eventful couple of weeks, has reached a new milestone, but has also challenged us with some sleeping problems (the 7 month sleep regression is just as real as the 4 month one). Wren had her first flight in Paw Paw's airplane last week when she went to Ruidoso with Cam, his parents, Oscar, Mark and Tim. I missed her terribly, but I got to get away with the girls in Asheville, NC. Last weekend she came to Austin with us for her first Texas Game Day. She stayed at Poppy and Wes' with her cousins and a babysitter while we went to the game. We think Wren might have come down with something over the weekend because she developed a fever, a rash, threw up in the car, and was pretty cranky all day on Sunday. Fortunately she's back to her normal happy self, although her rash still hasn't faded. She's working on her Horns Up Wren's sleep is still pretty ...

Bundle of fun

Wren is going through such a fun, joyful stage right now. It seems that she's always happy, and everything we say or do makes her laugh. Oscar is sure to crack her up every time he looks in her direction- it's the cutest thing! We are still giving Wren new foods to explore. Since the last update she's tried pears, pumpkin, green beans, and apples, and she's been a fan of it all. We're taking it easy on the carrots for a while because they seemed to make her a little uncomfortable. Wren attended her first birthday party last week (Happy 1st Birthday, Sloane!), and she recently graduated to the big girl seat in her stroller. She has become a consistent sleeper - down at 7pm, up around 6:15am, and three naps a day. We're getting the hang of life with Wren, and she lights it up for us. <3 First walk in her big girl stroller Hanging with the big girls at daycare! 6 months

Wren has made it halfway around the sun! What a month it's been in terms of milestones. In the past few weeks, Wren has started solid foods, can sit up by herself for a short time, and has possibly muttered "dada" a few times. Who has crazier hair in the morning? Wren hasn't tasted a food she doesn't like yet (she takes after her mom in that area). Feeding her solid foods has been so fun the past week. She's getting the hang of the spoon, and I find pleasure in watching her explore new flavors and textures. Our GI has instructed us to wait five days after introducing a new food to make sure she doesn't have any reactions; so far Wren's eaten rice cereal, sweet potatoes and carrots. Sweet potatoes rule. Cameron went to Vegas with his friends last weekend, so Wren and I spent the weekend at Babcia and Dziadziu's house. Wren's "talking" is starting to sound more and more like human...
