Easter 2020

We had Easter lunch with Babcia and Dziadziu on Sunday. Wren got so many goodies in her Easter basket and lots of fun new toys. She ate Babcia's salatka  and squealed while she played her new piano. We had to keep Easter small this year because of the shelter in place guidelines, but Wren still had such a wonderful day. <3

Wren's First Ski Trip

We went to Park City with Cam's family last week. The timing was unfortunate, as the COVID-19 pandemic forced the ski resorts, restaurants and bars to close in the city. We got two days of skiing in before our trip was reduced to social distancing. Tim and Christine were also in Park City visiting Christine's parents, so at least we got to be quarantined together. We also celebrated Cam's 35th birthday together. Wren was not a big fan of the snow, but she loved climbing the stairs in our 3-story condo and soaking up all the attention from family and friends! Valentines Day and Mardi Gras

The past couple of weeks have been eventful at Wren's daycare. She celebrated Valentines Day and Mardis Gras in the infant room, and as of today, she is officially in the toddler room! I dropped her off with her new teacher Ms. Olga this morning and expected her to cry since she was so attached to her old teacher. Not one bit! Wren hit the ground running with her new activities and friends. I feel assured Wren is happy and safe leaving her at our daycare, and it makes the whole working mom thing a lot easier. <3 <3 Bye Bye Buggy with the infants - her last week with her infant friends! one.

We did it. We've kept Wren alive and reasonably well for an entire year! We celebrated our little bird's first birthday last Saturday with an early "bird" breakfast and cake along with both sets of grandparents and Mark and Jordan. Wren was intrigued by her birthday cake, but didn't know what to do with it until Papa dipped his finger in and introduced her to the joy of sweets. Wren got lots of fun presents, including a cash register from Zsa Zsa, cool clothes from Nordstrom from Babcia and "AB to Jay-Z" from Aunt Poppy! Afterwards, I had to work an event at UT Dallas, so the whole family came. Wren watched her first basketball game and was mesmerized! She was still napping when they brought her into the stands, so when she woke up and opened her eyes, she was surrounded by crowds of people and the excitement of a fast-paced basketball game in front of her. With my boss, Dr. Calvin Jamison ...
