COVID-19 and this little cutie

The past two moths have been pretty uneventful as we have been sheltering-in-place due to COVID-19. Businesses are gradually starting to open up in Dallas, but it looks like I'll continue working from home into the summer. We've been pretty fortunate in that Wren's daycare has remained open (with strict protocol), so I've been mostly distraction-free at home.

Some highlights from the past month are that Wren has a new best friend next door- Botsy the mini goldendoodle! She's our neighbors' tiny puppy, and the two of them get so excited when they see each other. She is learning new words, including "waffle", "cuckoo", "duck", and what sounds like "bubble". She calls Oscar "Gar Gar" which Cameron and I find delightful.

Papa and Zsa Zsa came to visit in April. Papa got Wren into videos on his iPhone

4 month photo dump

I have neglected updating Wren’s blog for several moths, so here is a huge photo dump featuring Christmas, her 3rd birthday, and first time skiing in Crested Butte. Our little one has such a funny little personality. Right now she’s really into cooking and food toys, and she’s turning out to be kind of a girly girl. She insists that everything is “pink”, and the books she picks at bedtimes are typically princess books and fairy tales. She continues to be obsessed with the big bad wolf and witches. Her favorite food is French fries, but she fortunately does a good job cleaning up her fruits and veggies too. When she turned 3, she told us she would now like to have coffee, beer and wine. 😂  She skied for the first time in Crested Butte in February with Cam’s family and loved it. She kept telling her ski instructors that she wanted to “go fast!” She loves her cousins Cash and Walker dearly and thinks they are super cool.  First date  Arboretum Christmas village  Taking...

Fall 2021 Photos

Wren stole the show for our family photos this year. Look at this little doll. <3

2-year-old Summer

We have had an eventful summer with our silly, spirited 2-year-old. Wren's transition to her new daycare went very smoothly. She loves her new school, friends and teachers, and didn't go through a rough time switching schools as we had anticipated. The new center is closer to our home and less expensive, so all-around it was a positive change for all of us. Last day at Medical City First week at Dealey with a new friend Wren has experienced lots of fun new places this summer. We've been to the Dallas Aquarium, Six Flags, the Fort Worth Zoo again, a Rangers game, and Wren's first pool party. Wren discovered hot dogs at the Rangers game and they might be her new favorite food. She loved cheering with the crowd for the Rangers! First time at the Dallas World Aquarium First time at Six Flags. We're Season Pass holders now! NOT a fan of the Ferris Wheel Definitely a fan of "The Boot". We rode this 6 or 7 times. Fort Worth Zoo. She loves reptiles. Deep talks wit...
