8 months of Wren

Wren turned 8 months old last week! This little munchkin gets cuter by the day.
I went to Indianapolis for work this past week, and when I returned three days later, I feel like Wren grew leaps and bounds physically and developmentally. She's crawling more confidently, sitting herself up from laying on her stomach, and starting to pull up on objects. She also does this cute little thing where she blows bubbles in the bathtub!



We had lots of friends in town for TX-OU weekend last week, so Wren got to meet a lot of our close friends for the first time. My parents watched Wren at their house during the game. We're super grateful that we have two sets of grandparents that are willing to step in and take care of our little birdie when we need some time to ourselves.






Wren had her first picture day a couple weeks ago, and... she did not nail it. 😄










Halloween is just around the corner, and Cam and I have been brainstorming some fun costume ideas. Stay tuned for Wren's first Halloween!

I have neglected updating Wren’s blog for several moths, so here is a huge photo dump featuring Christmas, her 3rd birthday, and first time skiing in Crested Butte. Our little one has such a funny little personality. Right now she’s really into cooking and food toys, and she’s turning out to be kind of a girly girl. She insists that everything is “pink”, and the books she picks at bedtimes are typically princess books and fairy tales. She continues to be obsessed with the big bad wolf and witches. Summer into Fall

We've had some pretty big developments since my last update. A few days after my last post, Wren began crawling out of her crib and transitioned into a big girl bed! It's been an exhausting 2 1/2 months. She fights like crazy at night to get into bed, and for several weeks she was waking up in the middle of the night and running into our room. Things have improved, but she's still adjusting! We went to Miami with Baba and Yaya in July. They were such great help with Wren, so Cam and I had a little time to relax. Wren loved staying in her "house" with Baba and Yaya and swimming in the hotel pool. She's still not a huge fan of the beach! Wren has been doing great with her potty training! She only wears Pull-Ups at night and has few accidents these days. I was bribing her with toys every time she peed or pooped in the potty, but lately I've had to up it to chocolate or cookies.
