Light at the end of the tunnel... maybe?

Wren is five weeks old today! We had an eventful week and may be one step closer to finding out what is causing Wren to fuss so much. Our poor girl started having diarrhea Monday, and we noticed blood and mucus in her stools Monday night. We took her into the doctor on Tuesday and they believe she has a milk protein allergy. We've switched her to a special formula, and are hoping things improve. She is still having diarrhea, but she's been a lot less fussy and sleeping well today. Our fingers are crossed this is the solution!

Wren is starting to become much more alert. I notice now that she is exploring faces and making brief eye contact. She even appears to be smiling!

We have a big weekend ahead of us. Wren gets to meet some of our closest friends this weekend/next week, including Steph from Brooklyn, Tim & Christine from Boulder, and Jennuh from Austin!

4 month photo dump

I have neglected updating Wren’s blog for several moths, so here is a huge photo dump featuring Christmas, her 3rd birthday, and first time skiing in Crested Butte. Our little one has such a funny little personality. Right now she’s really into cooking and food toys, and she’s turning out to be kind of a girly girl. She insists that everything is “pink”, and the books she picks at bedtimes are typically princess books and fairy tales. She continues to be obsessed with the big bad wolf and witches. Her favorite food is French fries, but she fortunately does a good job cleaning up her fruits and veggies too. When she turned 3, she told us she would now like to have coffee, beer and wine. 😂  She skied for the first time in Crested Butte in February with Cam’s family and loved it. She kept telling her ski instructors that she wanted to “go fast!” She loves her cousins Cash and Walker dearly and thinks they are super cool.  First date  Arboretum Christmas village  Taking...

2-year-old Summer

We have had an eventful summer with our silly, spirited 2-year-old. Wren's transition to her new daycare went very smoothly. She loves her new school, friends and teachers, and didn't go through a rough time switching schools as we had anticipated. The new center is closer to our home and less expensive, so all-around it was a positive change for all of us. Last day at Medical City First week at Dealey with a new friend Wren has experienced lots of fun new places this summer. We've been to the Dallas Aquarium, Six Flags, the Fort Worth Zoo again, a Rangers game, and Wren's first pool party. Wren discovered hot dogs at the Rangers game and they might be her new favorite food. She loved cheering with the crowd for the Rangers! First time at the Dallas World Aquarium First time at Six Flags. We're Season Pass holders now! NOT a fan of the Ferris Wheel Definitely a fan of "The Boot". We rode this 6 or 7 times. Fort Worth Zoo. She loves reptiles. Deep talks wit...
